So basically I was practising for my food tech gcse at school on Thursday and the recipe I used was poo and inevitably my profiteroles failed. Therefore I found a new recipe and remade them. Why lime and coconut? That’s because I’m obsessed with Chinese food.
We have to make a three course meal for our course and considering I am hoping for an A*, I chose choux pastry for my dessert and here we are! My other courses are salmon and lemongrass fish cakes and some stuffed chicken of some kind with hoi sin or plum sauce.
The recipe I used to make these was from The Times recently and it was a basic choux pastry recipe. I added lime zest and desiccated coconut to whipped cream and covered the profiteroles with white chocolate and more lime zest and they actually taste so good and were so easy to make! I would definitely recommend them to anyone! 🙂
